Outdoor Recreation Gear

This project highlights a series of innovative outdoor gear concepts that merge utility with smart functionality, beginning with an expedition water bottle designed to serve as both a hydration tool and a multi-function lantern, featuring an integrated smart lid with a suite of environmental and utility sensors; including a clock, timer, compass, altimeter, and barometer for enhanced situational awareness on the trail. Complementing this is a conceptual smart locking cooler system that reimagines secure cold storage through built-in NFC capability, allowing users to unlock and access each cooler simply by holding their NFC enabled coozi, smart watch, or smart phone over an embedded scanner; streamlining user interaction while securing contents in rugged environments. Across these designs, the work demonstrates a deep focus on ergonomic form, intuitive interface integration, and thoughtful consideration of outdoor user needs, illustrating how connected technologies and purposeful engineering can elevate everyday expedition gear into adaptable, high-performance tools.
